The writer in the attached article in the NYT is the perfect example of how lapel pins can promote your business, your brand or your cause. As the perfect icebreaker, he has used his lapel pins to spread the word about autism. People see the pin and make an effort to introduce themselves.

He normally carries a small bag of pins in order to pass along to people who share their story.

The airlines, who used to give young passengers “wings” to commemorate their flight used this pin as a great form of Branding!
